Share in the Merit of Saka Dawa – Help Complete Our Dining Room with Love
June 11th marks Saka Dawa – one of the four most sacred days in the Tibetan calendar, when the karmic results of virtuous actions are multiplied by 100 million times. This holy day honors Shakyamuni Buddha’s three major life events, making it an extraordinarily powerful time for creating positive merit.
Creating Merit During This Sacred Time – Completing Our Cherished Gathering Space
During Saka Dawa, Lama Zopa Rinpoche encourages taking the eight Mahayana precepts and reciting the Sutra Remembering the Three Jewels. By contributing to Land of Joy during this merit-multiplying holy day, you’re not only supporting our physical space – you’re creating profound causes for spiritual benefit for yourself and all beings.
Our dining room is a cherished space where the Land of Joy community gathers to share wonderful meals. We’ve been working on showing the space some extra love with new paint, new windows, a heating upgrade, and now, new floors! All of this is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Land of Joy community – we truly thank you, and look forward to gathering around our beautiful dining room table together.
Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
May all beings benefit from this virtuous activity.
