Sutra Writing

Lama Zopa Rinpoche explains writing out sutras creates unbelievable merits. We recommend tracing a printed text rather than writing free-hand for a neater finish. Using a gold or silver pen means you can visualise offering real gold or silver to all holy beings and holy objects while tracing the words of the sutra(s).

Please keep in mind that a sutra, like all Dharma texts, is a precious object and should therefore be kept in an appropriate and clean place such as an altar or high place.
