We are looking to recruit a committed, organised and compassionate person as Director to start as soon as possible.

Experience (desirable)
- Good knowledge of the FPMT tradition of study, practice, service and ethical conduct
- Good management and interpersonal skills
- A positive communicator, working harmoniously with others
- Understanding of the general requirements of solitary and group retreat, reasonable knowledge of Lam Rim and Vajrayana/Tantra and other practices such as mindfulness, chi gong etc
- Experience of facilitating retreats and /or meditation sessions
Qualities
- Respect for Lama Zopa Rinpoche and familiarity with and respect for the FPMT organisation
- Enthusiasm for Dharma and service to others
- A good heart – patience, compassion, good listening skills and a sense of humour
- Able to work effectively in a small team
- Comfortable living in a communal setting in a rural location
Practical Information
- All members of the Land of Joy team are volunteers. Board and lodgings (single room) and basic necessities are provided in line with the Land of Joy volunteer agreements
- All applicants must have a legal right to work in the UK
- The role is co-appointed by Land of Joy and FPMT International Office
