Land of  Joy hosts various special events throughout the year which everyone’s welcome to join. Details for each event will be shared on this page. Due to our generosity model all our events are free of charge, however we invite you to make a donation of whatever amount you wish to help sponsor our pujas or cover other expenses.

On Chokhor Duchen we celebrate Shakyamuni Buddha’s first teaching/turning of the wheel!

If you want to take the 8 Mahayana precepts with us, please join us at 5:30am in the Gompa.

We will perform the Guru Shakyamuni Buddha puja and engage in Sutra recitation with tea and cake afterwards.
