About the Weekend
Would you like to join a safe space to collectively process the fear and pain around the deepening crisis of this unprecedented time? Would you like insight into your thoughts and perspectives that help you to clarify your place and activity in the world?
The challenges we face sometimes when we look at the world around us are huge. It can be devastating to be confronted with the climate crisis, and its effects on life on planet earth. We may experience frustration, anger, despair, numbness, or simply the wish to turn away from it all. Or we may choose a different response. Every crisis also is an opportunity to generate our resilience, to bring forth our courage, creativity and care. It may ask us to dig deeper into our own inner resources. “Be the change you want to see in the world” said Mahatma Gandhi.
We don’t have to do this alone. We can link up with a growing number of people, organisations, and networks who contribute to a regenerative world, with creativity, skill and dedication. We too can be part of the Great Turning, in our own unique way.
‘Grace happens when we act with others on behalf of our world.’ Joanna Macy
In this weekend retreat we engage with The Spiral of The Work That Reconnects, originated by Joanna Macy.
- We will focus on GRATITUDE in our life, building up resilience as we do so.
- We give space to HONOUR OUR PAIN for the world, as grieving is an essential part of stepping into wholeness.
- We will shift our perspective though SEEING WITH NEW EYES, and integrate this in our life.
In GOING FORTH, we explore our vision of the world we do want to live in, and identify steps we are willing and able to take, no matter how small or large.
This retreat includes experiential group work relating to deep ecology, guided meditations, focussed sharing and bodywork,
What previous participants say:
“The spiral is a deep and wise process and holds up a lens to the work we are all doing. The group process provides support, compassion and understanding which is most refreshing. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to come to their work with more depth, clarity and support – as well as everyone interested in finding out more about the Great Turning.”
