We are looking to recruit a committed, organised and compassionate person as a housekeeping manager to start as soon as possible for preferably six months to one year.

The person in this role will be responsible for:

• Cleaning / deep cleaning of the following areas with additional support as required

• Clean and prepare retreat accommodation, including doing any laundry

• General cleaning of communal areas, including the kitchen and toilets

• Organising waste collections/recycling

• Maintaining adequate supplies of cleaning products, toiletries and general household goods

• Carrying out required Health & Safety procedures, noting repairs and passing them on to the appropriate person

• Working closely with our cook, including assisting and deputising during retreats when required

Qualities/skills required:

• Able to work effectively in a small team

• Comfortable living in a communal setting in a rural location

• Good hospitality skills

• Able to manage quite demanding physical work

• A sense of humour

• Able to legally work in the UK

• Respect for the FPMT organisation and willingness to live by the five precepts whilst at Land of Joy
